Today read 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
This passage in 1 Corinthians is usually titled “spiritual gifts” or something similar. The last three weeks I keep coming back to read and reread it and I’ve seen it through a different lenses…
We need each other. Plain and simple. God made us to need each other. Not to compete or compare with each other but to work together to move closer to His heart. Y’all I need my eyes as much as I need my feet.. play your part so the body can work together for God’s glory and His perfect will to be done on earth.
I have been meeting myself coming and going, not operating from a place of rest at all. I let my immune system get down and I’ve been struggling with sever allergies for a few days. Last night I sat around a table with women I love and admire and shared a meal, right there I felt rest and the encouragement I needed to keep going this week. We need honest, healthy, intentional relationships with each other. A place where there is freedom for each person’s godly gifts to flow, to keep the body of Christ on earth healthy and moving forward!
Why?
Because there are a lot of lost, sick, scared and hurting people out there hiding from the light. You might be able to see them with your great vision, but you can’t hug with without arms.
Listen up!!!!
Each and every one of you are uniquely important to the body. Embrace that and be thankful for it!
Lord right now we thank You, that you bless us with gifts of Your Holy Spirit to make our journeys here on earth easier and more joyful. We pray that you draw us closer together, and closer to your heart. Highlight the gifts you so freely give us and help us to encourage each other to walk this life out in complete confidence and boldness for Your Glory!! In Jesus Name we pray- amen
