Write it down.

I fear we are losing part of our humanity, something special that links us culture to culture across the world and even to heaven. Since the beginning of time we have communicated with written words/ or symbols. Maybe I feel this more deeply than others because I’ve always loved to write. I am a writer. I’ve kept a diary/journal since 3rd grade and I’ll admit I’ve never really understood people who don’t ha! You’re not to busy, and if you truly are to busy. Slow down and take control of your life back. Do it today.

I get flowing with the times, and I love a new iPhone as much as the next girl – I get the good things about instant connection with social media and emails and text- obviously I’m writing this to you on a blog… right!

BUT I also have grown to understand balance. And I see clearly the power of a written word. The good and the bad.

I finally sat down to read through my journal from my time in India, Nepal and that one beautiful day in South Korea… and wow!

The little tiny details I forgot in my natural memory- details that can only be recorded in the middle of a moment. That precious moment in time – the joy and the pain and beauty and the absolute awe of a good, faithful God in the middle of it all. Things we forget in our day to day actions.

Life.

It’s the same thing with recording dreams, I always try and hit that hard when I teach about dreaming with God. Write it down! You may think it means nothing, or you’ll remember – you won’t. Not every detail at least. Take time and write it down. You’ll thank me later❤️
