Today if you feel unseen, or unappreciated or unheard… that’s okay. Because the only one who matters sees you, He appreciates you, He hears you!
In this world sometimes we confuse accountability, encouragement and testifying with plain old bragging. I’ve done it. I’ve done something well and wanted someone/anyone to be proud of me. To show me “honor” only to learn that kind of honor is shallow.
It’s fake.
I’ve come to learn real Godly honor, and friendship will open doors in Heaven, but flattery, it’s just another form of gossip and I don’t want it and neither should you.
If He says don’t do it, don’t do it.
Don’t ask why? Just don’t do it.
Check your heart today, and if you’re feeling hurt or let down by people, or like you have to work to prove something to those around you- stop and remember when you live for Jesus you don’t need anyone’s approval.
Lord, we come to You with empty hands today. Because only empty hands can be open hands able to be filled! We thank You for loving us and equipping us to grow daily in returning that love to You and to others around us. Give us strength Lord, in this media driven, fast paced world to look up more than we look around or down- in Your name we pray- Amen
