She IS hope.

The next few weeks on Emerald Hill we have a couple little pieces of Florida sunshine visiting us. My nephew and niece are here, their baby brother is an all star baseball player this summer and couldn’t come this time. We miss him, but we are also proud of him. Go Jaxson Go!

So we have little hands and giggles helping with everything, and it’s exciting!

Today Jillian and I were talking about Hope 4 Cancer https://hope4cancer.com, the clinic in Mexico her mom (my sister) went to last spring. Jillian said she wanted to help people some day with cancer like they do. She asked me questions like “do you think I’ll ever live in a world with no cancer?” “Do you think we make ourselves get cancer?” “Do you think God is up there wondering when we are gonna learn?”

It was a conversation full of tears and laughter. But I told her the truth.

This world isn’t ever going to be easy and perfect, but we can make it perfect right where we are for who ever is in front of us and we are told to find the joy in it all! We can and should have hope that this world is delivered of cancer once and for all, and that it’s sent back to the pit of hell where it came from. We should never stop believing and working toward that goal.

Resting in the fact that the battle is not ours, and we know the end..

God wins.

So hope wins, love wins, mercy wins, grace wins! He is a faithful God, and His love never fails. Even when people do. He is not the author of disease, and even better He gives us authority over it!

Just believe.

Tonight I pray that this little warrior for HOPE never forgets who her heavenly daddy is, that she never doubts His power and love and His plans and that everywhere she walks demons flee with just the sound of her laughter and songs of praise.

Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

1Timothy 4:10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Choose hope my friends!

Much love,

Shannon
