Flowers=my love language

I can’t really pinpoint when I fell in love with flowers. I can’t remember a time they didn’t make me happy. When these daffodils start blooming on roadsides and in yards at the brink of spring I get so excited, like the little golden trumpets are declaring spring is here! Praise God๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป He makes all things new. I was sitting making a list about things that make me feel the most close to God, and creation is #1 hands down!

I can pinpoint moments in my life that specific wonders in creation have really drawn me in closer to our Heavenly Father and His voice. From faithful rainbow reminders throughout my sister’s last year on earth, to the ocean waves crashing around me and washing my fears away, to mountains calling my name in my dreams and making me strengthen my hinds feet for high places. And the majestic pine tree staying ever green even while shedding and making room for new growth. To the bluebird appearing out any window when I sit and wonder about real happiness, and oh goodness those beautiful cupped flowers busting open on the tulip tree by our goat pasture, and these beautiful yellow daffodils heralding the awakening of spring, poking their little heads out of the frozen winter ground first, telling us “wake up wake up” it is time to shed the winter coat and remember that Jesus makes all things new. Creation is never failing, always leaving awestruck wonder in my heart and a yearning for heaven one day.

I love all flowers, I’ve tried to pick a favorite and I usually lean toward a rose but I’m not sure I have a favorite really… and I’m a firm believer a bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table can change the atmosphere in an instant.

try it- ๐Ÿ’

and If you’re one of those rare people who don’t care about flowers or nature at all – well today I’m praying you stop and take a second look and that changes for you forever, that you never look at the yellow daffodil growing in a cluster on the side or a road the same way again.

lean in today and listen to creation sing His praises.

and Come back soon for baby goat season!

  1. I absolutely love this … possibly because it whispers to my gypsy soul., and confirms my faith in The Creator of all things new and magnificent. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—
